The Department of Mathematics was established in 2006 under the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Initially, it started undergraduate education with 40 students in the 2009-2010 academic year, and graduate education in the 2011-2012 period. In the first two years of the four-year program, our department allows our students to specialize in Applied Mathematics, Analysis and Theory of Functions, Algebra and Number Theory, Topology, and Geometry with its wide range of elective courses as well as compulsory courses. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the department, our graduates can be employed in many different business areas. As of the 2023-2024 academic year, there are 2 Professors, 6 Associate Professors, 4 Assistant Professor and 2 Research Assistants working in our department.
